My Projects


This is just some of the projects I plan on doing in the near future hopefully.

Media Server

So my media server motherboard can accommodate four nvme ssd's. Currently is has a 500gb as the boot drive, a 1tb for music, data and sofware and a 4tb with movies. It also has four 4tb sata ssd's and can accommodate six in total. so I would like to populate the last nvme slot and the two empy sata ports with 4tb drives to complete my storage for now.

NextCloud Server

I would like to soon upgrade my nextcloud server with a more powerfull intel i3 processor on an itx motherboard with a pico power supply. This upgrade was done on the 21st of June 2025 and it's working really smooth, quiet and very powerful you can click here for pictures.

TrueNas Backup Server

I would like to upgrade my truenas scale backup server with a better motherboard and equivalent storage to my media server so i can back up all the movies and tv shows in case something goes wrong.

Proxmox Server

When I upgrade the nextcloud server to something more powerful, I would like to use the current mini pc as the new proxmox server. I will clone the current 240gb ssd to a 500gb nvme ssd and 16bg of ram, hopefully it should just work. This upgrade was done on the 21st of June 2025 and its work much better than the old Asrock mainboard I was using. I can now run 12 webservers and a windows 10 vm without any slow down. Its very snappy, responsive, silent and power efficent. You can click here for some pictures.

Travel Router

So I had a Raspberry pi CM4 laying around so I decided to try making a travel router with it using openwrt software. I had to install it the same way you will go about installing Home Assistant by booting with a live Ubuntu usb, downloading openwrt from openwrt.org stable x86 version and restoring it to the internal disk or emmc storage. Then I had to install some drivers and do some configuration to get everthing up and running.

Server Rack

I would to eventually like to build over all the systems into rackable cases and purchase a server rack to accommodate the servers. Then install an AC unit in the room to run 24hrs a day.
